Porteous Art Tiles - Native New Zealand Bird Plates

Porteous Art Tiles Plates are beautifully hand printed in underglaze cobalt blue then glazed with a food safe transparent glaze and fired to a high temperature to vitrify the clay body (make it impervious to water and very strong). These plates are dishwasher and microwave safe and as the patterns are printed under the glaze they will not fade or degrade over time. We have been using plates that we made 20 years ago on a daily basis and they are still as good as the day we made them.
